Two things: it has to survive being carried, and it has to identify the member. A 30mil plastic card handles the first — solid PVC that resists water and repeated handling, unlike a paper card that softens in a wallet. For the second, most programs put a number, a barcode or a magnetic stripe on the card so a member can be looked up at the counter.
Yes. Sequential numbering prints a unique number on each card, and variable data can print names, codes, or anything else that changes from card to card, from a list you supply. Both are common on membership runs, and they can be combined with a barcode so the same number is both readable and scannable.
Yes — barcodes and QR codes in all the usual formats, or a magnetic stripe. The important step is telling us which system the card has to work with before production, because the encoding has to match what your reader expects. We will confirm the setup with you rather than guessing.
Yes, and this is worth knowing because not every plastic product offers it. Alongside the standard card you can choose a key-tag stock, or a combined card-and-key-tag stock that prints as one piece and snaps apart — so a member gets a wallet card and a key-ring tag from a single item. Choose the form on this page and the price follows it.
Gloss for a standard high-shine card, silk for a smooth matte surface that feels more premium, frosted for a translucent look, and pearlescent in silver or gold for a metallic shimmer. There is also a lighter 12mil stock if the card is short-term or very high volume. Each surface is priced openly on this page.
The minimum is 250 cards, at the standard credit-card size of 3.375" x 2.125" — the size that fits a wallet and a card reader. Standard production is 12 working days after artwork approval; if you have a deadline, tell us at order time and we will confirm the schedule before production starts.
Yes. Our $99 custom design service pairs you with a designer who turns your logo, colors, or a rough idea into a production-ready front and back — including where any scan code, number field, or signature panel sits. Already have print-ready artwork? Upload it and skip the design charge.
